Conference "Personal injury and civil liability insurance - problems, direction of changes, new service standards"

Organized by: PAIM
Place: The Westin Warsaw Hotel, al. Jana Pawła II, Warsaw
Date: 25th of November 2010

Dear All!

It is my pleasure to welcome You to the next Scientific Conference organised by the Polish Association of Insurance Medicine. I am glad that the scope of the conference „Personal injury and civil liability insurance – problems, direction of changes, new service standards” has met so positive reception in the community and enabled meeting of its representatives – from the Polish Insurance Association (Polska Izba Ubezpieczeń) and Insurance Guarantee Fund (Ubezpieczeniowy Fundusz Gwarancyjny), to the members of Insurance Associations and District Courts, Departments of Forensic Medicine, Law Firms, physicians and medical sector representatives. It is a confirmation of a thesis proposed within our Association – a broad cooperation in the cases of personal injury is highly needed. The ratio of personal injuries is constantly growing along with the pace of change in market situation. It means that the development of the new standards and solutions fulfilling the needs of our customers and improving the safety of financial products preventing radical change of contribution is very much needed.

I believe that our meeting is going to be full of content-related and constructive opinion exchange concerning this issue, very important to the insurance sector. I hope that the Conference will be a beginning of the collective actions between the participants, with the special reference to professional and objective processing of personal injuries from the medical and insurance point of view.

Best regards and wishes of fruitful deliberations and interesting discussion!

President of the Organising Committee
Dr Piotr Daniluk
Vice-president of PAIM

Conference Announcement

Since the beginning of operation in 1998, Polish Association of Insurance Medicine has been using its experience and expertise in every field of insurance where knowledge of medicine and insurance is needed. We have been observing a dynamic change on the market of damages and insurance claims for a few years now, with special reference to the rapidly growing ratio of personal injuries. In the light of continuous growth in social entitlement attitude and the flaws of the way of assessing those cases by the insurers, those changes can influence negatively on technical results of insurance and profitability of certain business lines.

Having those aspects in mind, we are proud to organise a Scientific Conference “Personal injury and civil liability insurance – problems, direction of changes, new service standards”. The Conference will take place on Thursday, November 25th 2010 in The Westin Hotel in Warsaw.

Esteemed lecturers, representatives of the medical services, medical-insurance branch and court experts have been invited. Due to the issues covered during the Conference, invitation includes representatives of Insurance Guarantee Fund and leading Insurance Associations as far as liability insurance is concerned.
